Resembling the trunk of a tree, this abstract sculpture is hand-carved from a single piece of tun driftwood that features an elegant natural shape and color. Indian artist Suresh Pant channels his childhood passion for collecting driftwood by the river as he creates this one-of-a-kind sculpture.

This piece arrived well-protected and in perfect condition. Unfortunately, I could barely get it to stand up straight, as it is designed to do, because of imperfect weight-distribution. It wants to tip forward. A small, attached, solid base would probably have corrected this tendency, but, unfortunately, no base was integrated into the design. Not wanting to risk having it fall over and chipping or breaking, Ive laid it down horizontally. Being basically driftwood, it looks all right that way to me, but its not the way the artist designed it, nor is it the way that I envisioned displaying it. Too bad.

I read the reviews but remained somewhat a skeptic. If I could give this artist more than 5 stars I WOULD. It arrived safely and is exquisite. I immediately placed it in its new home ~ with intention. I cannot wait until I am ready to order another work. Money well spent. You will not be disappointed
