Mauricio Morales Crea una pequeña figura de pájaro de cerámica que presenta exquisitos detalles pintados a mano. "El proceso de elaboración de estos pequeños animales fue algo que aprendí cuando era pequeño... desde entonces se ha convertido en una de mis pasiones", dice el artesano guatemalteco, y agrega que la escultura del pájaro está hecha para, "...todos los que aman los pájaros." Comienza mezclando la arcilla y dando forma cuidadosamente a la figura, y luego agrega patas y pies de aluminio. Después de disparar el pájaro, lo lija, mezcla sus propios colores y pinta la figura. El resultado es un encantador arrendajo azul meticulosamente pintado, con cabeza con cresta, plumaje azul brillante y pecho blanco.

“Love my new little Blue Jay”

I have this one perched on an antique crock (on top of my Bakers Cabinet)... looking up at a blue jay painting that my son bought for me. I love how the two works of art look together. I have purchased many of Mauricios birds for myself and to give as gifts. All are incredible works of art.

“A wonderful gift for a dear friend”

This caught my eye: I have a wonderful friend and former teacher who collects unique bird figurines. I bought it for her, crossing my fingers because she has very high standards. I waited for her to open it. I held my breath. She looked at it, she touched it: she was absolutely delighted. It is far nicer than the very pretty picture can convey. I am thrilled.

“Wow! This woodpecker is amazing!”

Many thanks Mauricio. Your birds never disappoint. I was going to order this to give to a friend, but decided I needed it more. This will join other birds on top of the antique secretary. The wires in their feet make it so easy to pose them.

“Amazing”

Mauricio is a true artist. He paints these little birds to look quite life-like. Ive purchased 3: Red-tailed hawk, Chickadee, and Woodpecker. One is for a friend and the other 2--well, --theyre in my house so I see them every day. Only 1 thing--the Woodpecker is a different size than the others. Just FYI.
